A 1992 Kenwood stereo amplifier uses 2SC1124 as the voltage regulator pass transistor. The regulator is dead, and the transistor is shorted.
| Substitute | Notes | |------------|-------| | 2SC3355 | Higher fT, lower noise, similar pinout (check first) | | 2SC2570 | Very similar, often direct drop-in | | MPSH10 | Slightly lower fT, but widely available | | BFR91 | For higher power applications | c1124 transistor datasheet better
Always double-check with a digital multimeter (diode test mode) before soldering, as some regional manufacturers occasionally mirror the pinout layout. Key Applications
and that the replacement meets or exceeds the original’s voltage and current ratings [1]. full PDF datasheet for a particular manufacturer like Toshiba or Sanyo? This public link is valid for 7 days
: Ensures low distortion when deployed in the linear region of audio and video amplification. 2. Absolute Maximum Ratings ( unless otherwise noted)
A classic TO-126 transistor. While common, check the voltage rating, as some BD139 variants only reach 80V compared to the C1124’s 140V. Can’t copy the link right now
PNP transistor for symmetric push-pull configurations in Class AB audio output stages. High Voltage Handling: cap V sub cap C cap E cap O end-sub
Because the original 2SC1124 is often obsolete or difficult to find from reputable suppliers, several modern "drop-in" or close-match alternatives are commonly used by audio technicians: 2SC1124 - The Datasheet Archive
