See which servers have helpful staff and fair rules. What Makes an Eaglercraft Server "Better"?
When browsing a list, look for these three markers of quality to avoid lag or "ghost" servers:
Eaglercraft uses WebSocket URLs like wss://play.example.com . A good list only publishes secure, working links. eaglercraft server list better
Most server lists fail for three specific reasons.
A clean repository of servers categorized by version (e.g., 1.5.2 vs. 1.8.8). See which servers have helpful staff and fair rules
: Currently ranked as one of the top three most-played servers.
Discord is the lifeblood of the Eaglercraft community. Search for "Eaglercraft Community" or "Eaglercraft Central." A good list only publishes secure, working links
Look for Google Sites or GitHub Gists. Many school students create a Google Site for their friend group to play Eaglercraft during study hall. They don't advertise these on large lists because they don't want strangers.
Unlike standard Minecraft servers that run on dedicated hosts 24/7, many Eaglercraft servers are run by hobbyists on home computers or free Oracle Cloud trials. A server listed as "online" three weeks ago might be gone forever. Standard lists don't purge dead entries quickly.
In addition to these functional improvements, the Eaglercraft server list could also benefit from better server categorization and description. Currently, servers are often listed with brief, generic descriptions that do not provide much information about the server's gameplay or features. By introducing a standardized server description format, which includes information such as game mode, difficulty level, and server rules, players would be able to make more informed decisions about which servers to join. This would also help to promote server quality and accountability, as servers would be incentivized to provide accurate and detailed descriptions in order to attract players.
