With the brackets on the TV and the wall plate secured, it is time to bring the two parts together.

If your model features fabric cords hanging down from the bottom of the brackets, pull downward slightly on the strings as you push the bottom of the TV toward the wall. You will hear a loud "click" indicating the safety jaws have locked around the bottom rail of the wall plate.
Once securely attached, check your work one last time. If your Equatech mount is a tilting model, you can carefully loosen the side tension knobs on the bracket arms by hand, adjust the screen down to reduce glare, and retighten the knobs.
Use a tape measure to mark the desired height of your TV. Keep in mind that the center of the television should ideally sit at eye level when you are seated.
: Align the two vertical bracket arms with the holes on the back of the TV.
: The Equatech mount has a maximum weight capacity of 55 kg (approximately 121 lbs). Never exceed this limit. Your TV's weight can be found in its user manual or often on the manufacturer's website. Exceeding the weight capacity could result in catastrophic failure and serious injury.
Mark four to six outer anchor locations through the open slots on the plate.
Lifting large TVs (especially those over 55 inches) requires two people. Do not attempt to hang the television by yourself.
: For ideal ergonomics, the center of the television screen should sit roughly at eye level when you are seated in your primary viewing spot.
Use a pencil to mark the pilot hole locations through the wall plate slots. Step 3: Drill Pilot Holes and Mount the Plate
Ensure both arms are facing the correct direction (the hook mechanisms or pull-strings should point downward toward the bottom of the TV).

Attach the (bracket hooks) to the back of the TV, ensuring they are aligned vertically.
