The Fujitsu iRMC is an incredibly powerful tool for remote server management, but that power comes with significant security responsibility. The default admin/admin credentials provide initial access, but should remain active in a production environment. Treat the iRMC with the same security scrutiny as you would a firewall or hypervisor management console—isolate it, harden it, and audit it regularly.

If the default password has been changed and lost, you may need to use the ServerView Installation Manager (SVIM)

If the server is running an operating system and you have root or administrator privileges, you can reset the password without a reboot using the ipmitool utility or Fujitsu-specific tools. Using IPMItool (Linux / VMware ESXi)
