Before we dissect the specific version, let's establish the baseline. PureRef is a standalone, lightweight application designed for one purpose: viewing, arranging, and managing reference images. Unlike clunky browsers or memory-hogging Photoshop files, PureRef creates a "canvas" (often called a "board") that stays on top of your other windows.
PureRef does not alter your original source files, but it allows you to manipulate images nondestructively within the canvas.
