Minthara is arguably the most complex and sought-after companion in Baldur’s Gate 3 . For a long time, players believed recruiting her required a "Genocide Run"—slaughtering the innocent tieflings and druids at the Emerald Grove.

These mods often allow Minthara to appear at your camp automatically after Act 1, or provide a "summoning" item to bring her into the party immediately, bypassing the Moonrise Towers requirement entirely. 3. Key Troubleshooting Tips

Find her in the prison cells where she is being tortured. Eliminate her captors or persuade them to let her go.

Reduce her HP to 0 using melee attacks. She must be knocked out, not killed.

This is arguably the most famous Minthara freedom mod. It allows you to recruit Minthara while still siding with the tieflings. Defeating her – whether at the Goblin Camp or during the raid – does kill her; she will later appear at Moonrise Towers in Act 2 for you to rescue and recruit. Importantly, Halsin stays alive, and the tieflings survive. The mod also ensures proper quest completion after you defeat Minthara.

Tip: You can do this by stealing an item right in front of her or attacking one of her goblin subordinates, forcing her into combat without siding with Halsin or Zevlor yet. Ensure you have a melee character equipped to fight.

Advance to Act 2 without resolving the Grove vs. Goblin conflict. Minthara will eventually be found at Moonrise Towers. Trade-offs
